Two Notch Road Wins Aiken Trials Featured Race
Two Notch Road, the King's Assembly filly owned by Freeman and partners, upset Gustavia by two lengths in the City of Aiken Cup maiden 3-year-old fillies. The 4 1/2 furlongs race timed in 48 3/5 seconds, with jockey Kim Houghton aboard. Freeman credited the win to the horse’s form and noted a strong 1983 Keeneland campaign ahead.
