Thief Steals Fake Mantle Card From Omaha Sports Shop
In Omaha a burglar broke into Tuva Enterprises, smashing displays and taking a $12,000 fake 1952 Mickey Mantle rookie card. Owner Herb Eveland said the reproduction was displayed for show and that a Babe Ruth photo also was left behind. The real Mantle card would fetch $10,000 to $15,000 in mint condition.
