Fatal hit and run suspect tied to long criminal history
Lonnie Dean Miller a 29 year old Clearwater man is charged with two counts of hit and run involving death and one count of hit and run involving minor injury after a Monday incident that killed two S C DOT workers on Augusta Road. Miller has prior arrests for drug and traffic offenses including a 2004 hit and run and a 2006 construction zone speeding violation. He was denied bond at a Tuesday hearing and remains in custody ahead of a June 9 court appearance.
