Sparse turnout at 61st Aiken Trials amid rain and mud
Rough weather kept about 1000 fans from packing the Aiken Training Track for the 61st Aiken Trials. Six races were scheduled but one was scratched and others drew only two or four horses, forcing the infield to be gated off and prompting plans to improve drainage next year.
