Computer helps descendants find Civil War relatives
Fredericksburg Virginia hosts a Soldier Search System in its battlefield park bookstore. The database lists 1.5 million Confederate names and soon 3.5 million Union records, enabling visitors to locate ancestors by name and unit and print framing certificates.
