Public invited to view plan for bike facilities
The ARTS and Aiken County invite the public to review a draft bicycle and pedestrian plan at a March 28 meeting 5 to 7 p.m. in the amphitheater Building 700 at Aiken Technical College. Aiken School Board to hear strategic plan update
The Aiken County Board of Education will review an annual update to the district's strategic plan at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The revisions reflect recent self assessments and emphasize curriculum development, professional development, alternative learning, community involvement, adult diploma opportunities, and technology upgrades. The meeting also covers the Career and Technology Center, education-related state legislation, Ridge Spring Monetta High School expansion drawings, and a new building to move grades 6–8 from the Ridge Spring Monetta campus. The district office is at 1000 Brookhaven Drive.
