Pearl Harbor sailor buried with honors after 75 years
Vernon Luke of Green Bay Wisconsin, a machinist mate first class, died aboard the USS Oklahoma during the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack. He was buried as an unknown until the Defense POW MIA Accounting Agency identified him last year and arranged a Honolulu reburial with full military honors at Punchbowl. A second Oklahoma sailor will be reburied March 18.
