Engineers bring hands on view of Savannah River Site work
About 20 000 students in Aiken County and nearby areas meet engineers from the Savannah River Site each year. The program runs for sixth through eighth graders across more than 60 schools in late February and early March. Engineers explained roles across civil chemical electrical and nuclear fields and demonstrated problem solving with oil spills, water treatment, and safety.
