Aiken Department of Public Safety investigates a stabbing on Saluda Street. A 49 year old man was stabbed and bleeding when found by officers and identified the assailant as a 48 year old woman. He remained hospitalized with limited information available.
Aiken County Deputies responded to a burglary on Wheat Road where a firearm and electronics were stolen. Vandalism at a hotel on Edgefield Highway involved a cracked window from an unknown object. A nearby resident described an African American man named Black, seen with a silver object. Additional incidents included a mailbox theft on Mount Beulah Road, a suspicious fire on Bryan Road Warrenville, multiple car break-ins at Old Airport Road, shoplifting of bacon wrapped scallops with gift cards found, a disturbance on Richland Avenue, a trespass after exposing herself on Edgefield Avenue Northwest, an assault at Park Avenue funeral, and a gunshot damage case on Schroder Avenue North.
Allen Pollin, 37, was arrested Monday on first degree domestic violence and armed robbery charges after an incident March 1. Police say he fought with the victim, pulled a handgun, and took her vehicle while she was in the car with him on Beaufort Street. The victim was transported to the hospital. Pollin was jailed at the Aiken County detention center.
