Aiken DPS Reports Fraud Thefts And Burglary Incidents
A 51 year old man reported credit card fraud after unauthorized transactions. An Aiken man saw a cooler and tools taken from a truck on Queens Court. A vehicle break in occurred on Laurel Drive with a bucket of tools missing and later another break in on Laurel Drive with a missing money clip. Vehicles were stolen from Suffolk Drive and Newberry Street. A burglary on Carolina Springs Road North Augusta involved firearms missing. An Aiken woman reported mailbox vandalism on Cedar Road. Additional reports occurred on Edisto Avenue in Aiken.

Zachary Ray Johnson 37 of Mission Kansas was jailed after a confrontation at a Whiskey Road restaurant where he allegedly struck a 43 year old Florida man in the face during a handshake. Johnson was charged with third degree assault and battery and held at the Aiken County detention center.

Man shoots would-be burglar during home break‑in
An Aiken man said he fired at a suspect breaking into his Edisto Avenue home just after midnight. He reported seeing the suspect reach through a broken window and attempting to unlock the door, then saw blood on the suspect’s right hand and on his vehicle interior. No arrest or suspect found.
