Aiken Area Council on Aging Seeks Meal Volunteers

North Augusta dentist moves to larger office plan

Dr Bryan Bryant and staff prepare a spring move as plans to build a larger two story office on West Avenue progress. The move to 1810 Knox Avenue Suite B begins February 28 with about 8000 patients notified. The new facility will triple space to more than 3000 square feet and is expected in early 2002.

Suspected theft and vandalism in Aiken and North Augusta

Aiken County Sheriff's Office reports a car valued at 1 dollar stolen Friday afternoon on Wagoner Road after keys were left in it. A residence on Richland Avenue in North Augusta sustained 200 dollars in damage when a rock was thrown through a window Friday morning. A Johnston woman is named as the suspect in the case.

Weekend thefts and arrests reported across the area

Over the weekend several thefts and incidents were reported. Losses include 564 dollars in equipment from a storage shed near mid February, 960 dollars in tools on Pine Log Road Warrenville, and a 4500 dollar car left with no battery on White Pond Road Williston. Other reports include a Graniteville assault during a Thursday night incident, vandalism at Silver Bluff High School, drunken driving on New Holland Road, disturbances on Maplewood Drive, a shoplifting case in Neeses, and a stolen Poulan chainsaw on White Pond Road.

Aiken USCarts Plans All Day Art 1 Festival

The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of South Carolina Aiken will hold an all day festival titled Art 1 on April 21 to showcase a balance of the arts. Registration is free and open to the public with a March 13 deadline for auditions. To register submit name, phone number and area of interest by phone or email or in person at Etherredge Center Box Office.

March Gallery Shows at USCA Aiken Features Art and Auditions

The University of South Carolina Aiken presents two March exhibitions with high school art and Judy Adamick works on loan in the Lower Gallery through April 2.
