Hartsville man found safe after three days missing

Willard H. Dixon, 79, was found Sunday afternoon alert and in good condition after a SLED helicopter spotted his car stuck in mud in Chesterfield County. He had been missing since Thursday, and authorities believe he went to Sugar Loaf Mountain in Sand Hill State Forest to release a wild dog blamed for chickens killings. Dixon is diabetic and insulin dependent.
