Scout earns Eagle with Carolina Bay bench project

Eagle Scout candidate Brian Hoepker 18 completed four new benches at Carolina Bay as his project inspired by a blue heron. Hoepker, a South African High School cross country runner and Troop 110 member, credited Scouts leaders Carl Jacobs and Kevin Stoner and Lowe’s for lumber discounts. He developed the idea after noticing a heron during practice runs and hopes future visitors enjoy the view.
