Fall back plan proposed to license regulate video poker
A speaker argues for a statewide license and tight controls on video poker. The plan would set a $10,000 per machine annual fee, raise local caps, require monitors tallying plays and payouts, and allocate 60 percent to the state. It would limit machines, ban moves beyond six feet, and fund enforcement and mental health costs. Local revenue would aid schools and jails, but critics warn of deceit and court battles over legality.
