Six Garrison Brothers in World War II Honored in Florence
Florence remembers six Garrison brothers who served in the Navy Army Air Force and Marines during World War II. Their mother Emutral maintained daily letters between home and the six sons from 1944 to 1946. Daniel Garrison, a Navy Aviation Ordnance chief petty officer, recalls his mother’s vital news letters as the brothers returned home safely. The family will be honored at Florence Veterans Park with names added to the Wall of Honor during Veterans Day events.
