Pawn shop murder trial set for July in Aiken

Ae Kningratsaiphon identified as the trigger man in the June 1997 killing of Aiken pawn shop owner Carlton Ennis. Unanimous approval for school budget and student needs

The Aiken County Board of Education approved a 1999 2000 budget totaling 161 500 908 with a 4 8 mill tax increase and plans to hire seven teachers for the handicapped. Superintendent Eldridge praised the budget as productive and efficient while noting funding to reduce pupil teacher ratios and add safety resources.
