South Carolina man killed in West Virginia bridge crash

Fayetteville West Virginia deputies report a 40 year old Charleston South Carolina man died when his car rear ended a tractor trailer on the New River Gorge Bridge. Stepson 11 year old Christopher Smoake was treated for injuries. Truck driver Alvin Watkins 43 of Spartanburg SC was not injured and no charges were filed.

Prison Fight Fatal At Bennettsville

An Evans Correctional Institution inmate Kevin Johnson, 26, was stabbed to death after a fight among five inmates. Warden Bill Davis said another inmate George White, 23, was stabbed and underwent lung surgery. Johnson died in surgery at Marlboro Park Hospital. White is listed in good condition. Johnson was serving 20 years for criminal sexual conduct.
