Langley Pond will gain floating docks purchased for 112965 dollars from Rowboat Dock and Connect-A-Dock, plus additional modules not to exceed 23127 dollars. A 350 foot modular dock can be reconfigured for rowing, fishing, swimming, jet and water skiing as Aiken County aims to expand water sports and economic impact.
Haley Boyd and three USC Aiken undergraduates led by Dr. Keri Weed examined how perceived math anxiety predicts math performance more than physiological anxiety. The project involved UW Stout collaboration, tests on volunteers, and posters presented to professors, with notable findings on gender differences and debunking the notion that men are better at math.
Jessica Jones a St George resident and Allen University alum returns for a second summer at Savannah River Remediation as an administrative services intern in human resources. She assists with credential checks hiring and onboarding serving as liaison between interns and staff. Jones plans to pursue an MBA after the 12 week program and notes lessons learned from last year. Savannah River Remediation operates at the Savannah River Site under the U S Department of Energy.
