North Augusta Riverfront files countersuit over Project Jackson
The North Augusta Riverfront Company sues Steve Donohue for allegedly delaying the 457 acre Savannah Riverfront development known as Project Jackson. It claims a contract existed with Greenstone Enterprises to sell property for a baseball stadium and other facilities. The filing, dated May 30 in Aiken County, cites interference with the Greenstone sale. Donohue and a homeowners association had previously sued the city under Tax Increment Financing laws questioning blight findings. River Club HOA later left the suit.

Sam Erb, longtime West Side Bowery owner, bought the 6000 foot downtown Laurens Street structure closed on June 20. He plans no immediate restaurant reopening and will use the property as an investment while keeping Stoplight Deli and Birds Butterflies as tenants. A Mellow Mushroom soon may open at 151 Bee Lane in The Alley.
