Buffett to donate billions to Gates Buffett foundation

Warren Buffett, the world’s second richest man, announced he'll give the bulk of his about 44 billion dollar fortune to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He plans to donate 12,050,000 Berkshire Class B shares and convert some Class A shares, with gifts worth nearly 37 billion based on recent prices. The move aims to start giving now via annual stock donations and follows Gates stepping back from daily duties at Microsoft to focus on philanthropy.
