Wildfire Threatens Plantation Pines Subdivision in Florida
Neighbors fled as a large wildfire neared the Plantation Pines area west of Ormond Beach. Firefighters battled flames within a half mile of homes while rain arrived but failed to halt the blaze. Evacuations were voluntary or mandatory for hundreds of families as more than 50,000 acres burned in Volusia County amid drought and heat.

Benefit dogwash for SPCA in Aiken at Cold Creek
