USC Aiken Doctor Embarks on 14 Day Underwater Expedition
Dr. Garriet Smith, USC Aiken biology assistant professor, conducted two underwater experiments off St Croix in the Virgin Islands aboard Hydrolab. Over 14 days he studied sea grass growth and microbial composition, processing samples with other hydrologists as NOA A funds supported the Un dersea Research Program. He teaches microbiology biochemistry genetics and general biology at USCA and earned his advanced degrees from Clemson University.
