Local graduates marked at Erskine Citadel and national pageant
Gloria Glover of North Augusta earned an associate degree in Christian ministry from Ohio Christian University as Erskine College and Seminary held a joint commencement May 23. Hanlon Ignatius Maivelett from Aiken earned a chemistry BS summa cum laude, joined by sports and Who’s Who honors. Serenity Seawright, 11, became a state finalist in National American Miss held June 19–21 in Greenville, with top prize including a $1,000 cash award. Noland Seigler of Edgefield, Citadel Class of 2015, was commissioned into the U.S. Army after earning a BA in criminal justice and taking oaths at Summerall Chapel.

A two minute video featuring students and a painted angel portrays a playground as a canvas for imagination.
