Dru Nix, associate commissioner of the SCHSL, retires from full time work effective June 27 after 21 years shaping SC high school sports. She helped expand offered sports, embraced year round competition, and plans to remain part time into 2016 17 while pursuing outdoors time with golf fishing and family.
Aiken based Rural Health Services received 350000 from HRSA as part of 156 million nationwide to expand integrated oral health services. The funds support hiring and a mobile dental unit arriving in September to increase access, especially for children, across Aiken County and surrounding areas.
