James David Schenken, a retired computer scientist and USCA student, is a prostate cancer survivor and active community volunteer at St. John's United Methodist Church. He credits family support and doctors for his recovery after a 9 Gleason score and radical prostatectomy, followed by chemotherapy, and he advises regular PSA testing and talking with others to manage stress.
