The Aiken Community Playhouse hosts a Friday Black Box Coffeehouse from 7 to 9 p.m. with two short plays by the Black Box Readers' Theater Players including Betsy's Flag by Maureen Woltermann. The Aiken Lions Club Dick Flynt Memorial Golf Tournament at Houndslake on June 9 drew eighty eight players in a captains choice event. The low gross title went to Olan Logan Leon Logan Chris Bernard and Chris Swertsenger with 55 while Vic Turner James Shumaker Kevin Pecora and John Smith won low net with 46.89. The tournament supported sight and hearing conservation programs including eye exams glasses leader dogs and hearing aid programs with thanks to participants sponsors and Houndslake Country Club.
