The Aiken County Sheriff's Office unveils a new site at www.aikencountysh eriff.org offering crime prevention, drugs and child safety tips. Sheriff Michael Hunt says the page provides staff contact emails, division profiles, a new organizational chart, service zones, and up to date ACSO activity news for the media. Creative Media Group of Augusta developed the site.

Two arrested over North Augusta marijuana operation
Investigators found an indoor marijuana lab at 204 Meridian Ave during a search for stolen property. Tatum Eichfeld, 3, and Brenda M. Waites, 28, were arrested on charges of manufacturing marijuana and related offenses. The lab housed a six month supply, with plants 3 to 4 feet tall, and tied to missing bonsai plants valued near $10,000. Both suspects held on $10,000 bonds. extradition steps considered for Eichfeld.

Multiple Local Theft and Vandalism Incidents Reported
A Salley resident reported a possible home break in on Wagener Road with $500 cash and $1,300 in jewelry stolen. Car vandalism occurred at a Wagoner Road dealership totaling $1,500. Price tag switching led to tool theft at Wal-Mart. A utility trailer on Converse Drive was stolen after its padlock was cut. Pershing Drive burglary caused about $100 damage and $200 in stereo gear stolen. Edgewood Square was keyed causing $800 damage. A Breckenridge Plaza lot arson investigation damaged a car by a plastic jug device. A 1969 Chevrolet Caprice owned by an Augusta woman was stolen from Red Wing Bingo parking lot.
