McCain to Receive ACLU Culbertson Award in Columbia
Paine College mathematics faculty member Dr. Thomas C. McCain of North Augusta will receive the John Bolt Culbertson Award from the ACLU for voting rights work in South Carolina. He led a voting rights case won by the ACLU in the U S Supreme Court last February challenging at large county council elections in Edgefield County. The court ruled unanimously for McCain. The Friday 7 30 p m reception will be at the Town House in Columbia with tickets from the state ACLU office.
