North Augusta council to discuss Greeneway land use at Riverside Village
City leaders plan a June 19 study session at the North Augusta Municipal Center to reserve 1.48 acres off Ascauga Lake Road for Greeneway trailhead parking adjacent to the DMV office. The parcel, valued at 372 500 dollars, was acquired from the Forfeited Land Commission after delinquent taxes and reabsorbed by the city in 2016. The Greeneway project adds seven miles of paved trails from I 20 to the riverfront, ending at Riverside Village with a Crowne Plaza hotel and mixed use development anchored by the GreenJackets stadium.
