Aiken landmark damaged by early morning storm
In downtown Aiken a strong morning storm toppled a large willow tree at Sam Erb's Westside Bowery and damaged the nearby Horseplay horse Summer Squall. The second willow suffered minor damage while the jockey statue and iron fencing mostly withstood the gusts. Erb plans to plant a new willow and has the horse's repairs underway.
