Stand at the Crossroads Helps Women Learn Self Sufficiency
Stand at the CrossroadsMinistries on Aiken's Northside offers housing to women in crisis while they pursue stability. The January launch of the Re purpose for His Purpose training program is funded by a 15000 grant from the Community Foundation for the Central Savannah River Area. Volunteers and local donors supply materials for crafts as the group teaches jewelry making sewing and woodworking. The Redeemed Treasures Boutique at 820 York St opens June 24 25 with proceeds supporting the program and the makers. Projections aim for monthly sales to sustain the initiative with ongoing community support and workshops scheduled.
