Stone is a two term House member who alleges party negotiations cost him his district.
The action aimed to increase black majority districts by at least eight with court approval. Huff denied Stone's claims that GOP leaders struck deals with Black lawmakers to redraw districts and erode Democratic control. The move followed earlier qualifiers including Reg Williams and Oscar Stephens.
