Cultural Center hosts Juneteenth Education Camp

Aiken couple charged after domestic dispute
Aiken County Sheriffs Office charged Michael Wayne Pope, 39, with first degree domestic violence and possession of a firearm by a felon, and Teri Anne Murray, 29, with second degree domestic violence after a Sunday incident on North Street. Deputies found shell casings. Pope claimed fireworks. Juveniles were placed with relatives. Murray posted bond. Pope remained in custody. Pope has prior convictions for assault with intent to kill in 2007 and criminal domestic violence in 2009.
