Ky says Thieu plotted his murder during coup attempt
Former South Vietnamese premier Nguyen Cao Ky claims President Nguyen Van Thieu tried to have him killed after Ky and allies plotted a military coup last spring. Ky says security guards shot three would-be assassins at Tan Son Nhut. Thieu resigned April 21 and Saigon fell nine days later. Bankruptcy Judge Balks at FTC Koscot Order
Tampa based bankruptcy judge Alexander Paskay criticized the FTC order demanding 44 million dollars in restitution to Koscot distributors. He said the plan for reorganization should proceed and rejected the FTC bid to file claims against Koscot as a creditor. The court notes most creditors back a partial repayment plan with about 3 million dollars to be shared, while no full payment is guaranteed.
