Teen fisherman hooks record 1120-pound tiger shark off Texas
Larry Simmons Jr. a 16 year old from Katy reeled in a 1120 pound tiger shark off Galveston while two hours in a stand up fight. The female shark measured 12 feet 2 inches with an 88 inch girth and carried 52 pups. Larry Sr. and crewman Ken Cox assisted landing the fish.
