Schools cut staff and cut summer school to save budget
Columbia Marion District 7 will eliminate five staff positions including aides and custodians as it struggles with a tight budget. Greenville County plans larger classes after laying off hundreds of teachers, while Horry County raises property taxes to cover cuts and trims summer programs and technology budgets.
