Lava from Kilauea wipes out hundreds of homes overnight

Lava from Hawaii's Kilauea volcano destroyed hundreds more homes in the Puna district, affecting Kapoho Beach Lots Vacationland and nearby areas. Officials said overflights showed lava filling Kapoho Bay and threatening remaining residences. Gov Ige issued another emergency proclamation expanding shelter options and penalties for evacuation violations.

Aiken County votes on hospital plan and old government site
