DNA Could Act as Tiny Wires in Chips
Researchers Hans-Werner Fink and Christian Schoenenberger at Basel University report DNA conducts electricity as well as a good semiconductor. If DNA wires can be switched on and off, they could form extremely small electronic devices, potentially wiring themselves together. Their findings appear in Nature.
