San Diego educators say CATV leads in applying cable television to schooling. ITVA and Mission Cable deliver prerecorded lessons to 40 schools with about three hours daily of nonbroadcast lessons. Plans include a $2 million microwave CATV system linking 389 schools and home study options for UC San Diego SDSU and local junior colleges.
