Soldier Returns Home to Work After Iraq Service

Belvedere resident Sgt. Kevin Nugent of Alpha Company 111th Signal Battalion spent a year in Iraq. He hopes to resume work as an industrial electrician for Austin Industries at Augusta’s NutraSweet plant, noting daily shelling he endured but relief that terror threats have lessened.
