Residency Races nominations open for South Carolina event
Nominations for the second South Carolina Residency Races close June 30 for the Christopher Elser Memorial Stakes and the Donna Freyer Stakes at Philadelphia Park on November 4. Two-year-olds must have spent 90 days in SC by June 30, 2006, with 202 horses nominated as of June 2.

The Bridgestone Firestone facility in Aiken County earns the South Carolina Silver Crescent Award for Manufacturing Excellence in the large manufacturer category. Since 1999 the plant has supported education and workforce development through ATC partnerships and significant community investments while expanding with a 17 million expansion to add 36 jobs.

Father Daughter Dance in Aiken Parks Event
The City of Aiken Parks Recreation and Tourism Dept hosts the 2nd annual Father Daughter Dance titled Daddy Wanna Dance. On Friday June 16 at the Aiken Electric Co op Community Room girls aged 4 to 14 may bring a father or male escort. Tickets are 20 dollars per couple with 5 dollars for each additional daughter.
