Republicans block move to regulate video poker in SC
South Carolina Republicans blocked attempts to regulate the $2 billion video poker industry as the session nears end. Democrats pressed for regulation, taxes, or a referendum, but three GOP senators halted the move. Budget negotiators already refused $52 million in gambling revenue.
