Aiken school budget meeting draws near empty public turnout
The Aiken County School Board held a special meeting to review the upcoming budget with online viewers but no in person attendees. Superintendent King Laurence noted public input can be sent by email call or social media while the budget shows no employee pay steps or tax millage increases since 2013 and adds funds for new teachers health insurance and school resource officers with a final reading scheduled for June 9.
