Several OPEC ministers in Beirut support Saudi proposals to lift the production ceiling to 26 million barrels daily as a response to price spikes. The talks follow a deadly Khobar attack and pressure from buyers to boost supply, with Kuwait Qatar and Nigeria backing the increase. Saudi Arabia and UAE pledge higher output while Algeria floats quotas suspension but gains little backing. Prices cooled after initial spikes as ministers stressed security and market calm.
