Robbery Suspect Arrested After Multi-Car Wreck
A Friday afternoon strong arm robbery outside Regions Bank on Chesterfield Street led to the arrest of Andrea Dion Nicholas, a Batesburg resident. A melee with a meat thermometer ended with a wreck at York Street Abbeville Avenue, then two more crashes on Abbeville Avenue before Nicholas was detained. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to Aiken Regional Medical Centers, then to the county jail on charges from the robbery and additional possible highway patrol counts. The jeep occupants were uninjured.
