Several meetings and programs scheduled today including the Aiken County Board of Disabilities at 7 p.m. on Vaucluse Road Aiken. A self defense course for ladies at Harrison-Caver Park Clearwater runs eight weeks at 60 dollars with certificates awarded. Burnet town holds a special meeting at 3144 Augusta Road about Summer Youth Corps and a business license public hearing. Area 4 Advisory Council meets at 6 p.m. to hear student appeals in executive session with a light supper at 5:30.
The DuPont Planetarium at USC Aiken presents Larry Cat in Space June 3 4 17 18 at 8 p.m. and Digistar Virtual Journey at 9 p.m. Adults 4.50 5.50 seniors 3.50 4.50 students 2.50 3.50. Reservations 641 3769. The Aiken Parks dept also offers a Abbeville trip June 3 for 20 dollars and a Jerry Girls show June 3 4 at 8 p.m. plus a MB Jewelry ribbon cutting June 3 at 4 p.m. and a Lower Savannah meeting June 3 at 7 p.m.
The Aiken County Red Cross hosts an Introduction to Disaster Health Services program on Saturday June 4 at Aiken Technical College starting 8 a.m. For registration call 641-4152. Also Colonial Times Under the Crown runs June 4–5 at Living History Park North Augusta with free admission.
