SRNL Wins DOE Hydrogen Funding for Storage Research

The Department of Energy will grant SRNL $500,000 annually for three years as part of a $64 million national program to advance hydrogen fuel cell tech. Led by Drs. Zidan Serkiz and McWhorter, SRNL studies novel storage materials and hydrogen interactions to aid practical storage devices.

Education plan targets different learning styles

Gov. Mark Sanford signed the Education and Economic Development Act of 2005 introducing a six year career cluster program. Beginning 2011 sophomores pick one of 16 fields with counselors guiding an individualized study plan. Middle grades will learn the program aims and funding for more counselors is hoped for.
