Injunction Sought in Free Agent Compensation Dispute

Miller and Grebey are expected to testify before federal Judge Henry Werker as he hears the case amid criminal matters. A grant would pause the dispute for a year forcing rescission of a compensation plan to be enacted in November. The plan would require teams losing top free agents to surrender a player, a move players claim would weaken bargaining power and could trigger a strike within 48 hours if denied or altered.
