Aiken Prep Trustees OK Land Deals To Aid Endowment

The Aiken Preparatory School board approved transferring 270 acres of campus land to Hitchcock Woods and selling 198 acres to the Aiken County Open Land Trust to bolster endowment funds. Ronald D. Royal said the moves will strengthen finances while preserving the woods, with 40 acres set aside for future expansion and 20 for possible development.
