Eagle Scout Joins Langley Cemetery Cleanup Effort

Missing teen returns after alleged kidnapping case

Jennifer Lyn Withrow 18 returns home unharmed after being reported missing Saturday night in Aiken County. She was dropped off about 8:30 pm Tuesday along US 278 near her residence. Sheriff’s Office said suspect John Travis Mace escaped Friday in a dark green 1998 Toyota RAV4 reported stolen.

Inmates Freed Early Under South Carolina Program

South Carolina begins releasing 247 state inmates as part of a now-defunct furlough plan. The releases come after courts refused to stop the early parole, with more than 6,000 inmates slated for release. The governor's office noted public safety steps, including electronic monitoring for 83 violent offenders.

Powerball siege stalls as machines fail in Connecticut
